Contracts Manager I

As a Contracts Manager I, you will be using your skills and expertise to administer, extend, negotiate, and terminate our standard and nonstandard contracts. You'll be responsible for examining estimates of material, equipment services, production costs, performance requirements, and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness. You'll advise management of contractual rights and obligations and ensure our contracting activities provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment.

Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study
    • A higher level degree may substitute for experience
    • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education


Preferred:
  • Experience with government contracting
  • Previous legal experience


Responsibilities:
  • Primary point of contact for the customer on all assigned contractual matters
  • Coordination with other departments as necessary in the preparation of responses to customer correspondence and other requests
  • Maintains close, professional interface with internal and external customer personnel (technical, administrative and business)
  • Reviews RFP requirements for contract risk, recommends appropriate exceptions/fall-back positions accordingly
  • Reviews, recommends and negotiates terms and conditions; ensuring SNC protection in terms and conditions
  • Acts as Lead in customer negotiations with Program Management and Pricing Support management included in all discussions
  • Responsible for ensuring that all contract documents, data, deliverables, funding, etc. are posted to SharePoint; to include the development and updates to Contract-specific matrix
  • Ensures contract files are maintained in an up-to-date and audit-ready condition with all contractual data, correspondence and status
  • Works with internal customers (program managers, program directors, etc. ) ensuring all communication with external customers is concise and consistent from both technical and contractual personnel
  • Monitors, in conjunction with the Program Manager, performance against the original cost allocation and contract requirements in order to anticipate necessary changes in contract funding or scope of work
  • Reviews Tracking, reconciling, closing and reporting Unbilled status; leads in resolution of Invoice issues
  • Initiates, in conjunction with the Program Manager, contract close-out process
  • In coordination with Corporate counsel, reviews NDAs, Teaming Agreements, Consultant Agreements and other strategic documents across the SNC Enterprise
  • Drafting, reviewing, posting and routing for approval; and prompt execution of agreements and executive summaries - ensuring protection of SNC interests in all agreements
  • Reviews and coordinates all requests for data to ensure protection of Company and customer interests
  • Maintains working knowledge of Federal and Commercial contract rules and regulations; Commercial experience preferred
  • Assists Export Compliance Officer by reviewing contract for potential ITAR/EAR requirements and ensuring that export controlled data is not transmitted through the Contracts Department without appropriate export licenses
  • Ensures all tasks are performed within SNC stated guidelines and processes, as well as government and/or commercial guidelines (i.e. FAR, DFARS, UCC, etc.)
  • May provide direction/assistance to other Contracts personnel

Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $138,634.92 - $190,623.01

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
