Cloud Network Support Manager

The Information Technology Department has an opening for a Manager of Cloud Network Support responsible for the day-to-day technical oversight of the Network Operations department, including staff management by providing guidance to ensure that the Network Operations staff understand and execute all functions in accordance with Company policies and procedures.

This position is located in Phoenix, Arizona

Position Purpose

This role is responsible for all aspects of network systems including circuits, software, and hardware as well as recommending and maintaining network Cloud, LAN, and WAN infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Lead the Cloud Network Support function in support of network solutions in a mutli-cloud environment (Azure, GCP, OCI, Cisco ACI) and circuit management.
  • Recruit and train employees, develop personal growth opportunities, provide leadership for employee relations, effectively communicate job expectations, coach, train, counsel, and discipline employees, and develop, coordinate, and enforce Change Management policies
  • Motivate staff to accomplish important objectives and multiple demands and creates a sense of urgency in all tasks
  • Ensure network performance, capacity and availability meet enterprise objectives for timely service restoration and tuning
  • Participate and triage mission critical incident resolution
  • Strong mentoring skills
  • Member of Enterprise and Network Domain Change Advisory Board for reviewing and approving network related changes.
  • Demonstrates excellent attention to detail with a focus on delivering quality work; seeks continuous improvement for the betterment of the organization Accountable to the team's commitments, deliverables, and SLA's
  • Experience in a high-availability, fast paced 7x24 environment
  • Network Monitoring of data centers, public cloud networks and edge networks
  • Strong customer service focus and experience working with cross-functional teams
  • Proven problem solving, organization, and communication skills are essential


Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience working on network infrastructure: Data Centers, Security, WAN, LAN, Wireless, VoiP.
  • 5+ years' experience in administering and troubleshooting network devices like routers, switches, firewalls, network aggregators, load-balancers, wireless devices as well as data centers and WAN technologies
  • 5+ years' experience leading and managing teams consisting of Network Operators
  • Strong inter-personal skills to effectively represent IT concepts to executive level management and end users
  • Good Organizational and time management skills are needed. This can be shown through the ability to prioritize duties with multiple tasks, incidents, and outages.
  • Must have the self-initiative to learn and adapt to new technologies in a fast-paced environment; willing to take advantage of opportunities for professional growth

  • Willing to work on a shifting schedule
  • Must be able and willing to cross train to other network technologies such as firewall, wireless, proxies, and VPN technologies
  • Experience with Azure and Google Cloud Networking
  • Experience with network configuration/monitoring tools
