Business Intelligence BI Developer II (Remote Work Eligible or Hybrid)

Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for developing innovation solutions? Join our team! As a Data Scientist II at SNC, your fundamental responsibility will be to derive value out of data. You will use skills like advanced data mining to proactively acquire information from various sources. You will process, cleanse, and validate the data integrity of that data and enhance it where required using third party data sources and other techniques. Finally, you will use statistical modeling, machine learning techniques, and ad-hoc analysis to build high quality predictive and prescriptive solutions for the enterprise.

This position is remote work eligible in most states.

Must-haves:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience
  • Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • Data-oriented personality
  • Applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.
  • Understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms
  • Proficiency in using query languages such as SQL, AWS RDS (PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with data visualization tools, such as Power BI, Tableu, etc
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required. Learn more about the background check process for Security Clearances


Preferred:
  • Experience with common data science toolkits
  • Good scripting and programming skills
  • Knowledge of Quality, Operations, Design, and Procurement processes in an Aviation and Defense contractor environment.
