SUMMARY
This role will support security requirements for traditional IT infrastructure as well as new transformational deployments using all cloud based technologies. We are looking for someone who has strong capabilities in both spaces. As a senior staff member, you may lead the deployment of various security technologies, infrastructure and services in alignment with the security program, including but not limited to intrusion prevention, system hardening, endpoint security, incident response, technology evaluations and security tool management. You will also evaluate and help drive improvements to the information security program. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and lead security projects and initiatives
- Provide domain expertise for on-prem and cloud security solutions
- Establish security requirements for cloud-based proposals
- Lead security evaluations of cloud based architecture, hybrid designs and custom software deployments that use cloud native platforms (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
- Provide recommendations for improving cloud security posture
- Conduct threat modeling and assist with software security analysis
- Work with administrators to remediate vulnerabilities
- Deploy and maintain on-prem and cloud security infrastructure and software solutions
- Detect, manage and contain security incidents
- Develop security standards, policies and procedures
- Provide mentorship to other IT engineers, analyst and administrators
- Assist with security awareness initiatives
- Be a good collaborator
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Does not manage people but may lead projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Security, Information Security, Information Technology plus 5 or more years working in a dedicated, technical IT security role and 5 or more years' experience in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE
- Conduct security reviews of AWS security controls, cloud specific security tools, cloud native applications and infrastructure as code.
- Experience with administration, integration, installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of hardware and software
- Experience with Active Directory and identity management services
- Experience with cloud deployment orchestration, automation, and security configuration management
- Experience performing threat modeling and design reviews for cloud technologies and software
- Understanding of key cloud provider solutions and cloud orchestration tools (e.g. Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.)
- Experience with drafting security standards and assessment reports
- Experience creating technical designs for new and existing environments
- Collaborative "can do" attitude

- Ability to define major milestones for a project and drive a task to completion
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS*
CISSP, CISA, CISM, OSCP, CEH or similar
TRAVEL REQUIRED
Minimal travel is required for this position (up to 20% of the time and on a domestic basis).
