Job Summary
The College of Communication, Media, Design and Information (CMDI) at CU Boulder invites applications for a CMDI Academic Senior Coordinator! The CMDI Academic Senior Coordinator supports the effective administrative operations for undergraduate academic affairs within the College with primary duties focusing on support for the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education in the areas of curriculum coordination, class scheduling, course catalog items, and other administrative support. The coordinator serves as the lead academic scheduler for the college and convenes and facilitates meetings and other necessary connections with the department schedulers across the college while serving as the college-level liaison to the CU Boulder Registrar's Office (RO); assists with convening the college curriculum committee, taking notes, and following up on action items generated by the group; works with the Associate Dean to ensure proper workflows for course updates and scheduling within the various university systems; and serves as liaison between the Dean's Office and CMDI Academic Advising for parent and student concerns, triaging to the appropriate college or department contacts as appropriate.

What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
CMDI Course Scheduling
- Working with the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education (AD for UG), schedule college-level courses into the systems of record each academic scheduling period.
- Coordinate the classroom scheduling of the CASE shared spaces each scheduling period with the AD for UG and Dean's office staff, communicating outcomes to all stakeholders and coordinating requested holds/changes.
- Work with departments each spring to assess needs for batch enrollment and assist in the preparation of related requests to the Registrar.
- Coordinate the approval process for CMDI courses and revisions that have been approved by the curriculum committee.
- Assist the AD for UG with communication flows around approval processes each semester.
- Serve as the official staff liaison with the Registrar for course planning and catalogue issues.
- Serve as liaison between the Dean's office, Academic Advising teams, and department chairs for items related to student and parent concerns. Triage concerns as appropriate in partnership with the AD for UG.
- Coordinate the meetings for the college's undergraduate curriculum committee including room reservations, Zoom scheduling, taking notes/minutes, and following up on action-items generated from the committee's work.
- Assist in the scheduling of advising area function and student experience area function meetings.
- Communication: Disseminating information, explaining policies, and directing individuals to relevant resources.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate student records and other relevant documentation.
- Assist the AD for UG with event coordination, as needed, involving college staff, meeting/scheduling support, and other tasks.
- Coordinate with departments and the Graduate Program Manager to ensure that graduate student faculty appointments to college-level courses are made in a timely manner.
What You Should Know
The successful candidate will work a hybrid format, with some days a week in person and some remote.

The salary range for this position is $61,200 - $69,700 annually.

What We Require
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Three years of academic and/or administrative operational support.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for the degree.
