What You'll Do:
Reporting to the Chief Information Security Officer, this position will serve as a campus resource on matters of information security, and act to fulfill the mission of the UWM Information Security Office. This includes but is not limited to providing consultation and analysis of information security issues to campus constituents, providing technical expertise and actively constructing solutions to address information security challenges, monitoring and responding to information security incidents, and working to advance the goals of the UWM Information Security Office. These responsibilities are carried out in a team environment.
High School Diploma
Demonstrated experience providing information security related services
Bachelor's (or advanced) degree in an area applicable to information security practices and policies is preferred
Familiarity with the fundamental principles, standards, and industry best practices regarding information security
Evidence of experience working with a variety of information security tools (e.g., forensics tools, antivirus, SIEM, etc...)
Experience working in higher education
